Als het goed is hebben meerdere mensen onderstaande mail gekregen. Ik kan me voorstellen dat je niets meer met Rconnet doet, dus als je verwijderd wil worden hoor ik het wel.
Dear rconNET users,
unfortunatly a possible security leak has been found and
already fixed. Potentially leaked data: Username, email address, Md5 hashed
password.
Due to the fact, that a md5 password hash can be
brutforced, your passwords are no longer safe.
For your safty, we forced ALL admins to set a new
password befor they can login again.
So what should you do now:
1. set a new rconNET password
2. if you used the same password for other services
change them all asap!
3. change your server rcon passwords
Some general security tips:
- use long passwords > 10 chars
- use chars, numbers and special chars in your password
- NEVER use the same password for different applications
- change your passwords routinely
